In a few days, an entire decade will have come and gone. Though so much has transpired, it seems as if it was just yesterday we were in a panic about Y2K. I think what made this decade so short for me was the best moments of it happened within the tail end of it. I felt as if I started living my life in 2006, and started really enjoying it in the beginning of 2009, which is when I started writing this blog. If you read the first few posts, you will understand why.
I continue to realize more and more about what true happiness is about and what it isn’t. Every day that I wake up to Jade, I am instantly happy. I remember waking up and not wanting to be in the life I was living - now I am living the life I’ve always dreamed about. I look forward to “work” if that’s what I can even call it cause it’s just doing what I absolutely love to do. I feel reborn. I feel I am actually savoring life. I am noticeably more thankful and appreciative of things nowadays. There’s a quote I try to remind myself of as often as I can - “A great life isn’t about great huge things…it’s about small things that make a big difference.”
So here we are at the doorway to a brand new decade - another milestone in our lives, and I am ready to fully throw myself at it. I aim to make the next ten years as great as the last few years were.
